Wanting to find that dream vacation? Have you ever imagined yourself basking in the sun with the wind gently blowing through your hair? Have you imagined listening just to the sound of the waves crashing in on the shore while you have your favorite drink in hand? If you have then, these six tropical islands could hold a lot of attraction for you.

If you are looking for something that is far from home and offers you heaven on earth you should check into traveling to the Seychelles. These islands are off the east coast of Africa and they are nothing but the ultimate paradise. They have absolutely perfect and unblemished beaches; the water is perfect, clear and warm. There are many islands to choose from that give you incredible privacy and seclusion. There are, believe it or not 115 islands to choose from. To stay on these islands you are going to have to pay a pretty penny but if you want to experience true paradise it is worth the extra cash you have to put out for a stay on one of these islands.

Another incredible set of islands would be the Maldives. These are a chain of 1,000 islands that are located in the Indian Ocean. Only two hundred of the 1,000 islands are populated and there are only five that actually have a fair amount of residents.

There are a lot of resorts spread out among the islands an once again you really are going to have to dish out the cash for the taste of ideal white sandy beaches, crystal clear water, privacy and on the more inhabited islands you will be greeted by friendly natives and you will get a taste of the Maldives culture.

Ko Lipe which is off the shores of Thailand. This little island is somewhat off the map and does not get swamped with tons of tourists. The locals are wonderful and they bring in incredible seafood off the shores of the island each and every day which means that every meal every day is as fresh as it can be. The ocean is just filled with life and if you are into snorkeling the bathtub like water is great for snorkeling. The beaches are immaculate and inviting.

Even if you are a tourist the locals expect you to follow as they do and that includes the fact that all over the island the electricity is turned off at midnight. So if you are a night owl that might not work for you. The best time to visit is November or March for great weather and less people. Warning May through October brings the harsh monsoon season and the entire island shuts down and if you miss the last boat at the end of April you really have missed the boat. So be aware of this should you go.

Bali of course has been heralded as the top tropical island in the world. Every tourist will agree it is definitely paradise. The weather pretty much stays the same all year so that means tourists come all year long as well. Even though there are a lot of tourists coming and going, it never seems to be over crowded, there seems to be enough space for everyone.

Fiji is another tropical island you should have on your list of possibilities. Fiji has 322 islands yet less than a third of them are inhabited by people. The western islands are the ones that seem to get the most visitors. Here again is another place that offers you a little slice of heaven. With so many islands to explore their most likely there will be one that will suit your needs. It is considered by all who visit Fiji the best place in the entire world to visit.

The island that is considered by some to be the honeymoon capital of the world would be Tahiti. Tahiti is the post card you see of paradise. It is the place where you see huts standing on stilts in the water, it is real, they do exist, and that is Tahiti. To some, this is it; there is no reason to keep looking for paradise. You have found it in Tahiti with the climate, scuba diving, ocean bungalows, clear water surrounding your bungalow where stepping out your door for a dip is expected. All this and more is Tahiti one of the finest dream vacations in the world.
